Our history begins on January 21, 1976 in Emilia Romagna, right in the middle of the Food Valley.
With our 5000 square metres of factory and 8 production lines, Cerreto is now able to offer a very wide range of agri-food products, 100% organic, operating in total respect of life and environment. In this view, thanks to our photovoltaic system, the plant is powered by solar energy.
History
In the 90’s Cerreto started the production and distribution on a large scale of herbs, spices, vegetables, legumes, cereals, soups, seeds, pasta dressings and vegetable-based preparations for the retail, and over the years it has established itself as one of the leading companies in agricultural food production.
The turning point took place at the end of the 90’s, when Cerreto undertook a great challenge that later con rmed itself as a winning bet: organic food.
Our company is known as a pioneer of organic food in Italy, since it is certified and offers innovative products and cutting-edge gastronomic choice. Mixes, preparations for veg-burger, sauces and tasty vegetable drinks, offer Organic Lovers the taste of homemade food with the guarantee of a controlled selection.
In the following years Cerreto has been constantly taking care of the quality of its products and it is now committing in order to expand its horizons at a national and international level, with over 2000 points of sale in Italy alone and a distribution both under its own brand and with private label.
Since the end of 2015 the traditional brand has become part of the Fratelli Pagani SpA group, continuing its activity under a new management.
The past meets the present: the current management keeps the tradition and history of the company alive, distinguishing itself at the same time through the values of innovation, quality and sustainability, constantly satisfying the consumers’ needs and following the market trend.
